"No propagation" reason, hihi

Hexbeam up - bands down...

The issue of lack of space for Hexbeam has been solved due to the kindness of neighbor. Mr Vik, owner of the property next to my villa was kind to allow to put the Hexbeam on his land.
Antenna is up but bands are totally closed. I made only few QSOs with JAs on 15m.
Have to believe that next days will be better.

Already on Siargao

Arrived to Siargao. 40m vertical already up. Hexbeam is waiting for tomorrow however it can't be easy - very limited room for antennas.

Antenna bag sent to Siargao

Last night, just after arrival to Manila I sent by Cebu Pacific cargo my heavy antenna bag to Siargao. I hope it will wait me when I come there tomorrow.

On the way to Philippines

We are on the way to Siargao. At the moment waiting, in NRT, for ANA flight to MNL. Hope to be on air according the schedule.

Equipment checked and ready

All equipment is checked. Mast, fiber pole and antennas are already packed. All together about 50kg... Heavy as for one man "expedition". Fortunately, I do not need too much clothes. Just few t-shirts, hihi.

Holiday style activation of Siargao Island

I am going to activate on air Siargao Island between 9 and 17 May 2017. This is, as usually, a holiday trip so I will be on air quite limited amount of time.
I bring with me Icom 7300 with SP7SP 1.2 kW solid state linear amplifier and SP7IDX Hexbeam antenna.
I will work mostly SSB and some digi modes.
